Network fees
Each network defines its own fee model. Wavel shows an estimate, while the selected network charges the fee.
Native fee tokens
Transactions generally require the native token of the selected network. There is no single fee token or universal minimum balance that applies across every network in Wavel.
Possible costs
| Cost | When it can apply |
|---|---|
| Network fee | Sending, swapping, approving, revoking, or using a dApp. |
| Account creation | When a network requires an account or related resource to be created. |
| Token account | When an asset requires a dedicated token account. |
| Storage or rent | When a network charges for persistent state or storage. |
| Provider fee | When a swap or cross-chain route uses an external provider. |
Before an action
- Confirm the asset's network.
- Keep a small amount of that network's native token.
- Review Wavel's estimate and any provider costs.
- Do not send the entire native-token balance if you need to transact again.
